Sally fields doesn't get a mention? I dont get how you can even tell with most of the movies having not bad trailers yet. And you said last year you predicted them oscar picks.. and novice could have seen them coming. Just chill out before you make yourself seem even more dumb and leave the oscar prediction for people who appeiriate acting
ReplyDeleteFor someone who slams a person for not "appreciating acting" it seems odd that you would not only misspell Sally Field, but fail to recognize that she is mentioned in this article in the supporting actress category.
ReplyDeleteExcellent list Ryan! Although I think Beasts of the Southern Wild may upset Anna Karenina.
DeleteThanks. Yes, Joe Wright seems like a future Oscar winner so I wouldn't be surprised if Anna Karenina. However, because Beasts of the Southern Wild has been seen already it is the safer bet at this exact moment.
DeleteDon't listen to the haters Ryan. This list looks pretty good to me, and I'm also not currently predicting Sally either (I think the boys may take away all the focus in that film).
ReplyDeleteFYI, Debutante Hunters shows up as a documentary short on IMDB, even though it sounds a little bit "staged" in its set up.
Keep up the great work my friend!
Thanks David and that is interesting to hear about Debutante Hunters.

Inasmuch as i would LOVE to see TDKR nominated, I feel it is a bit of a dream right now. Christopher Nolan, I hope, should be nominated for Direction, but the Academy has not been very kind to him recently. Lets just hope for the best.
DeleteInteresting set of predictions. I really wonder if 2 actresses in sci-fi films could get into Best Actress. It is not out of the realm of possibility at this point and would be a great moment for the Academy Awards.
ReplyDelete"Nero Fiddled" now retitled "To Rome With Love". Get with it!!!
ReplyDeleteBest live action short film:

Original song should go to 'Voodoo' from Halloween Party or 'Freedom' from Django Unchained. However, it will probably end up in Adele's hands or one of the animations (Brave or Wreck it Ralph...both great songs and more the Academy's cup of tea).
ReplyDeleteYea I think a song from Django Unchained could certainly get in. The winner will either be Adele or the new original song from Les Miserables.
ReplyDeleteWow.. is there a reason you don't have Searching for Sugar Man on that documentary list
