Recent Guest Post and Podcast

Thanks to the Large Association of Movie Blogs (or more commonly known as the LAMB) I have had the opportunity to write a guest article about the Best Cinematography race at the Oscars as part of the LAMB's "The LAMB Devours the Oscars" series.  My own contribution can be found here while the entire list of series entries can be found here (and will continue until Oscar Sunday).  The LAMB also gave me the opportunity to do a guest spot on the LAMBcast (the site's official podcast).  The show is normally hosted by Dylan of Man, I Love Films and I had the opportunity to guest along side Dan of Public Transportation Snub, Mike of Man, I Love Films and David of Never Too Early Movie Predictions.  Episode #104 centered around Oscar Predictions and can be found here.  And to find more information about the ultimate hangout for film bloggers of all shapes and sizes please visit the LAMB website at its new url: http://www.largeassmovieblogs.com/

  1. Thanks for the link. I had a lot of fun doing this, and am still having sleepless nights over Clooney vs. Dujardin. In Darkness is starting to have trailers at my local art house theater, although they haven't set a date for it yet. They're probably hoping that you're right about it surprising, and then they can open big--or at least big for a foreign entry!

  2. If it wasn't for Dave Karger (who talks to a lot of Oscar voters) still predicting Clooney, I think Dujardin would be a lock. But that Karger prediction is very troubling for someone predicting Dujardin. I'm beginning to think that with other foreign films like Footnote and Monsieur Lazhar emerging as potential spoilers that all of the dark horses will cancel themselves out and A Separation wins, but for the moment I'm sticking with In Darkness. The local art house theater around here keeps claiming that In Darkness and A Separation are coming soon, but they've been doing that for the last month or so. I'm very disappointed that I haven't seen any of the nominees in that category yet.
